Thoughts on AI created music
It's not Artificial Intelligence, rather it is real stupidity; and intellectual property and copyright theft.
AI music works by sampling models from the music of others, which is a legal and copyright nightmare waiting to happen for anyone foolish enough to create their music this way, in the same way that artists who sample loops of other musicians and songwriters open themselves up to litigation by failing to obtain the proper consent and legal licenses to use someone else's work.
Typing prompts into a software prompt takes zero creativity. It's the newest domain of talentless hacks; and it shows in the sound and look alike content of all ai generated works.
